Career
Tayo Ricci, who started writing rhymes in high school, listened to a lot of rappers growing up and was particularly influenced by artists like Chingy, DMX, Lupe Fiasco, System of a Down, Post Malone, Drake, Eminem, and Lil Wayne. He had joined YouTube in 2015, but started releasing his songs on his channel with BURN MY MIND (Official Audio) in October 2018. After a long gap, he uploaded the lyrical videos for let it go for tonight and TRIPPIN in late 2019 and early 2020. Following another gap, he utilized his newfound TikTok fame to collaborate with Teddibear on the single Sonic in 2021, although it was not uploaded on his channel. He again started posting on his channel in June 2022 with the official music video of Party Girls. He has termed the Covid-19 pandemic as the best period in his life as he moved from Australia to Los Angeles, California, during that time and met with people who inspired him to be on TikTok, which changed his whole life. Tayo Ricci was born as Matteo Samuel Ricciuti to a Greek mother and an Italian father. His father has occasionally appeared in his videos. He told Hellenic News of America in an interview that he is motivated each day by his fear of “dying” as “You only live once”.

Tayo Ricci has been in a relationship with fellow TikTok star, actress and adult content creator Scarlet Vas and they describe themselves as "two step-siblings who are completely in love" in the TikTok bio on their joint profile @tayoandscars. In a viral clip, Vas revealed that she was in a 7-year-long relationship when she kissed her boyfriend’s best friend, who also happens to be her step-brother Ricci, on a dare. She had initially refused, but agreed when her then-boyfriend urged her to make-it-quick. They then fell in love and started making content about their “weird” relationship.
