Loserfruit aka Lufu is the online alias of Australian gaming personality, Kathleen Veronica Belsten, known for her Twitch livestreams and YouTube videos. Shortly after becoming the second-most followed channel on Twitch among female gamers, she hinted in March 2021 that she had lost interest in Twitch streaming. However, she continues to livestream on Twitch and is going strong on her YouTube channels Loserfruit, Lufu, Loserfruit Daily and Fruity Shorts. She is represented by Emma Graham of Click MGMT.

Early Life

After graduating from Flinders Christian Community College in 2010, Loserfruit enrolled at the RMIT University, from where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2013. In June 2013, she started working as an intern at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Career

Loserfruit created her YouTube channel on March 24, 2013 and started posting League of Legends videos on the channel in May. She had also joined Twitch to livestream games around the same time. She moved to the Outlast game in August 2014, and subsequently moved from one game to another, including games like GTA 5, Sims 4, and Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. She even made a video about playing 30 different games within 10 hours. She occasionally made non-gaming videos like vlogs of her travels as well. Furthermore, she made videos about New Year resolutions, recaps of her year, organized charity streams, and so on. It took her over four years to cross 100k subscribers on YouTube. However, she gained recognition after she started streaming Overwatch on Twitch and also uploaded Overwatch themed videos on YouTube in 2016. She also made a video about why she had left League of Legends.

She eventually started to make videos about the Fortnite: Battle Royale game by the end of 2017. The game earned her immense popularity on various platforms, and got her noticed by the parent company of the video game. She was one of the leading streamers to compete in the inaugural Fortnite Summer Smash tournament hosted in 2019 and attended the second edition in 2020. That year, she became the second streamer, after Ninja, to receive their own Fortnite outfit as part of the Fortnite Icon Series. By late 2020, she was recognized as the second-most followed channel on Twitch among female gamers, behind Pokimane. She has also amassed millions of subscribers on her primary YouTube channel, and has a second channel called Lufu for vlogs, and a third channel Loserfruit Daily for additional gaming videos. Moreover, she was a member of the Australian YouTuber group “Click”, which also featured Bazza Gazza, Crayator, LazarBeam, Mrfreshasian, Muselk, Prestige Clips, Tannar and Mully. She entered a partnership with GymShark active wear in 2020 and with e.l.f cosmetics in 2023.

Family Life

Loserfruit was born as Kathleen Veronica Belsten and has a brother. She began dating fellow Australian YouTuber Marcus aka Prestige Clips in late 2017. When they first met at an airport, she was already in another relationship, but was still attracted to him and even flirted with him.
