Liam Silk is an American social media star, model and actor best known for his TikTok profile @liamsilk where he gained popularity by sharing comedy skits. He also has a sizeable fan following on his Instagram profile @realliamsilk on which he shares selfies and fashionable pictures. While he has a YouTube channel, he is not very active there. He is signed to Vertex Management Group and has acted in the short film The Blood Stone.

Early Life

Liam Silk studied at Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida, from where he graduated in 2022. Liam, who gained online fame as a freshman, mentioned that he always prioritized school to make sure time spent on various social media platforms didn't affect his studies.

Career

In an interview with staff writer Anna Woodward of his school's student news site in March 2019, Liam Silk had mentioned that he started using TikTok to have a few laughs with his friends. He created the handle @willyum0313 in January 2019 and first made a video following the popular “Pretty Boy Swag” trend, which immediately got noticed. One of his early popular videos saw him lip-syncing to a clip by popular YouTuber Brandon Rogers. His video from May 2020, with the word bubble "Me seeing a good looking girl in public”, quickly became his most popular video with over seven million views. He started to take his TikTok fame seriously after surpassing 75k followers. He subsequently changed his TikTok handle to @liamsilk and started regularly posting funny videos inspired by his day-to-day interactions with friends and acquaintances.

Liam, who became active on Instagram in April 2019, celebrated crossing one million followers on TikTok with an Instagram post on June 30. He mostly posted selfies and fashionable pictures on Instagram, and has also promoted brands like Circle K convenience store and Lunchables through his posts. In November 2019, he created his eponymous YouTube channel and uploaded his first video, Turning into bootleg Bob Ross. He followed it up with a couple more vlog type videos like This is me trying to thrift... and Staying up all night with a tik toker, but then became inactive on the platform for a long time. He returned to YouTube with the video Going to the cemetery to feel something in October 2022 and has since then uploaded a few more videos. While he has not uploaded any longer video on YouTube since May 2023, he is very active on both Instagram and TikTok and continues to re-upload his content as YouTube Shorts. He is also an aspiring actor who signed with Vertex Management Group in 2019 to launch his acting and modeling career. Shortly after, he prompted his fans to check out his upcoming IMDB profile, although it currently contains only one acting credit for the short adventure video called The Blood Stone (2021).
