Absorber is an American YouTuber known for his gaming content primarily featuring Fortnite and his trolling videos with girl voice on others on the game’s lobby. He has also made videos on Omegle trolling and vlogs. He took breaks from YouTube several times in the past citing threats and hateful comments, but has been accused of faking those for clout.

Career

Absorber’s current YouTube channel, which was created in January 2019, is not actually his first attempt at YouTube. He had previously joined YouTube with a different account of the same name. In his first video on the current channel, he explained that he was already able to move his fan base from the old to the new channel and outlined his future goals. While he previously streamed and uploaded Fortnite videos on his older channel, he did not want his new channel to be specifically for gaming and wanted to do card magic, challenges, pranks and various other things he was interested in.

He continued to make videos about Fortnite and occasionally included Omegle trolling and vlogs. In November 2019, he uploaded the video GIRL VOICE TROLLING A THIRSTY KID, which received one million views within two weeks. This started a series of him using girl voice to record reactions of other Fortnite players, which remains his most popular content on the channel. He also made videos with several members of the FaZe Clan.

Controversy

Early on during his YouTube career, Absorber had made videos about fellow Fortnite gaming YouTuber Bxrry during the latter’s “abusive step-father” controversy. In his final response livestream, Bxrry had called out Absorber while talking about people faking and lying about the whole situation, following which Absorber received a lot of dislikes on his livestream. Later on, Absorber often highlighted paid hate messages that he received on his streams. It eventually became a cycle where he would go offline for months, come back with an apology video apologizing for nothing and then would receive more hate message, including death threats, and would go offline again.

A YouTuber named Jalyn had made a video titled The Absorber Situation Is Awful... where he sympathized with Absorber, but he soon found discrepancies with Absorber’s account in that he hardly received hate comments on chat. If the hate comments were coming from Streamlabs, he could have just disabled those, instead of highlighting them or leaving YouTube. As Jalyn made more videos about his investigations, it turned out that Absorber faked the threat messages and even paid people to leave those to earn sympathy of the viewers.

Family Life

Absorber, whose real name is Hamzah, was born in New Jersey, but moved with his family to Dubai when he was two. He later moved back to the United States and has lived in Oklahoma and Houston, Texas. In his first video on his current channel, he revealed that he did well in school, is a magician, and loved a lot of things including acting, playing instruments, editing, and coding.
