PrettyLuhHazel is the online alias of social media star Hazel Zamarripa who is best known for her Dubsmash videos that she shared on her Instagram profile and later on her TikTok profile. She also has a couple YouTube channels titled prettyluhhazel _ and Hazel Zamarripa, although she is currently not active on either. She stopped posting on TikTok years ago, but is active on her Instagram profile, although she has deleted the majority of her past posts.
Career
PrettyLuhHazel originally gained fame on Dubsmash by sharing dance videos to popular songs on her profile @the0nlyhazel. Her first video on the platform was a dance to the song Facts by Lil Bibby featuring Chief Keef. She soon branched out to other platforms like Instagram and TikTok, and became particularly popular on her Instagram profile @prettyluhhazel by sharing her Dubsmash videos. She started doing the same on her TikTok profile @prettyluhhazell, but soon made that her main outlet for sharing new dance videos and was able to amass a large fan following on the platform. On Instagram, she eventually shifted focus towards selfies and fashion pictures, but her Instagram profile has gone through several purges when she deleted majority of her content. Her profile currently contains only eight posts as of July 2023. On the other hand, she seems to have stopped posting on TikTok altogether about two years back.
Hazel had initially appeared on YouTube in several videos on the channel called Paradiisedd by her older sister. She decided to create her own channel, prettyluhhazel _, on June 30, 2015. She uploaded only one video on the channel, titled Pranking girls saying we’re there bf side chick, posted on September 24, 2019. The video also featured her older sister Paradise Deedee and the two girls prank-called several girls to say that they too had relationships with their boyfriends. Interestingly, she had created another channel called Hazel Zamarripa on August 11, 2017 and only uploaded a few slime videos on the channel in the following months. In her last video, posted on January 15, 2018, she showcased her collection of 14 slimes and offered to sell each of them for a dollar.
Family Life
PrettyLuhHazel, real name Hazel Zamarripa, was born as the youngest child of her parents and has older brothers named Michael Magaña and James Zamarripa, and an older sister named Deyanira Magaña, who is known by her online alias Paradise Deedee. Her two oldest siblings, Michael and Deyanira, don’t share the same father with her. She also has an older step-sister named Gabrielle Jimenez-Zamarripa from her father’s side. She comes from a musically gifted family as all her siblings have dabbled in music and are also popular on social media. Even her mother, Esmer Magaña-Zamarripa, is very active on Instagram and regularly promotes her children through her posts. Hazel was previously in a relationship with Instagram model Mathew Valenzuela. During the period they were dating, he often appeared in her posts along with her family members.
