Nil Sani is a Turkish social media star based in the United States primarily known for her eponymous YouTube channel, where she initially made mostly fashion and makeup videos, but now focuses on vlogs. As the younger sister of popular YouTuber Hailey Sani, she had started out appearing on her sister’s YouTube channels before launching her own channel. With her sister, she also launched the jewelry brand Soleil.
Early Life
After shifting to America at the age of 12, Nil Sani attended Beverly Hills High School. Upon graduating, she went to New York University for her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies in 2021 and is scheduled to graduate in 2025. However, she went to study abroad in Paris for a year in September 2023.
Career
Nil Sani was still a child when she started appearing in videos on her older sister Hailey’s channels. They had started a show called iSisters, inspired by the sitcom iCarly. She also appeared in the first video of her sister’s channel berrypinklips, later renamed to Hailey Sani, in early 2013. The two often appeared together and made product reviews, DIY videos, makeup tutorials, and challenges. She also appeared in her sister’s vlogging channel, haileysluyf, which was abandoned a few years later.
She eventually created her own self-titled channel on October 25, 2015 and uploaded the video, FIRST VIDEO! MOVING TO LA VLOG SERIES, the same day. It was a vlog documenting her family moving from Turkey to Los Angeles, California. In January 2016, she accompanied her sister, who was by then a popular YouTuber, to her first social media event for BALM's IPSY. She continued to make videos about fashion, makeup and beauty, skincare, and travel. For a few years, seasonal shopping hauls and try-on hauls made the bulk of her content, although she latter shifted focus towards vlogs and travel videos.
She continued to appear in her sister’s channels, including her Turkish language channel Hailey Eylül Sani. Alongside YouTube, she was active on Instagram and musical.ly (now TikTok), and sometimes reacted to her old content. She also teamed up with her sister to launch the jewelry brand Soleil in December 2018, after working on it for over nine months. The products included one set of items from each sister like necklace, earring, choker, ring and pendant, and were described as “Attainable luxury dripping in gold”. However, they no longer maintain the brand’s website or Instagram page.
Family Life
Nil Sani was born to Melike and Cengiz Sani as the younger of two daughters and has a sister named Hailey, who is also a social media star. When she was still a child, her parents had relocated from Turkey to Dubai for the girls’ education in English schools. From there, her family moved to Miami, Florida when she was in elementary school. However, they moved back to Turkey about four years later and returned to the USA in 2015. Her parents entered real estate business and flipped houses after moving to America.
